Heirlooms of Tomorrow--Today
About Swift River Crafts
Swift River Crafts opened in 1976. It is housed in a Greek Revival Building in the local historic district, on the Village Common.
Our mission has always been to offer unique, handcrafted American Folkart to the public at affordable prices. Because many of the items we carry are one-of-a-kind the store is constantly changing and offering something different. We are one of the most unique stores in the Valley and have devoted customers who come from near and far to buy from us.
There are several wonderful places to visit when you come to Belchertown. The Belchertown Historical Assn. maintains the Stone House Museum which is open to the public on Wednesday and Saturday. There is also the Quabbin Reservoir, which is the water supply for Metropolitan Boston. Five towns were flooded to create this man-made reservoir in the 1930's. It's a fun place to go walking or for a picnic. There is also a visitor's center that provides information regarding Quabbin's history and development.
